Active ingredient and dosage form

Ophthalmic gel 5% transparent or slightly opalescent, colorless, very fluid.
Active ingredient: Dexpanthenol 50 mg / 1g
Excipients: citrimide, disodium edetate, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, water d / i;
5 and 10 g per tube.

Mechanism of action

Korneregel - corneal protector. The drug stimulates the regeneration processes, has anti-inflammatory effect.
Carbomer (part of the drug) increases the duration of contact of the aqueous solution with the corneal epithelium, thereby prolonging the action of dexpanthenol.

Indications and usage

Corneal erosion; eye burns; keratitis of various etiologies; corneal dystrophic diseases; prevention of corneal injuries while wearing contact lenses.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the drug.
It should be used with caution in patients with chronic renal failure, as well as during pregnancy and lactation.

Dosage and administration

The gel is instilled in 1 drop in the lower conjunctival sac of each eye 3-5 times per day.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions, transient "blurring" of vision, burning sensation, local eye irritation.

During the period of drug treatment is not recommended wearing soft contact lenses. When using contact lenses, they should be removed before applying the gel and not set earlier than 15 minutes after the instillation of the drug.

The tube should be closed after each use, do not touch the tip of the tube to the eye.

During the period of treatment, the patient should refrain from engaging in potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and psychomotor speed.

In cases when additional local therapy is carried out, the interval between administration of the drug Korneregel and other drugs should be at least 5 minutes. Korneregel should be used last.

Storage conditions

Store in a cool and dark place, protected from light and moisture, at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C.
