

Polynadim - eye drops in the form of a transparent, slightly colored liquid:
1 ml of drops contains diphenhydramine 1 mg, naphazoline 250 mcg; fl. 10 ml.
Polynadim is a combined preparation for topical use in ophthalmology.
Diphenhydramine - a blocker of histamine H1-receptors, has anti-allergic effect. Reduces swelling, itching, tearing.
Naphazoline - alpha-adrenergic, causes prolonged narrowing of peripheral vessels. Due to vasoconstrictor action, Polynadim, when applied topically, has a decongestant effect.
- acute allergic conjunctivitis (including pollinous conjunctivitis);
- conjunctivitis with drug allergies;
- Infectious diseases of the eye with an acute allergic component (as an additional means).
For adults with acute symptoms, Polynadim is prescribed 1 drop in the conjunctival sac every 3 hours to reduce swelling and eye irritation, then 1 drop 2-3 times per day until the clinical symptoms disappear.
Children older than 2 years appoint 1-2 drops / day.
The duration of treatment is not more than 5 days.The need for a more prolonged use of the drug the doctor decides individually.
If the symptoms of conjunctival irritation persist for more than 72 hours, the use of Polynadime should be discontinued.
Local reactions: symptoms of conjunctival irritation (burning in the eye area, conjunctival hyperemia, itching), as well as blurred vision, increased intraocular pressure, mydriasis, eye pain, dry nasal mucosa. These reactions disappear after the abolition of Polynadim. A single case of corneal opacification is described (when used for 7 days at least 10 times /), which disappeared after stopping treatment with the drug.
Systemic reactions: rarely (especially in children and elderly patients) - pallor of the skin, tachycardia, pain in the heart, increased blood pressure, increased sweating, tremors, headache, agitation, nausea, drowsiness, dizziness.
- conjunctival xerosis (dry keratoconjunctivitis, Sjogren's syndrome);
- simultaneous use with MAO inhibitors and the period within 10 days after their cancellation;
- angle-closure glaucoma;
- pregnancy;
- lactation period;
- children's age up to 2 years;
- Hypersensitivity to the components of Polynadim.
The drug should be used with caution in thyrotoxicosis, arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, arrhythmia, chronic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, adrenal adenoma, in elderly patients, with benign prostatic hyperplasia with residual urine.
Do not use Polynadim more often than every 3 hours (within 5 days).
