Indications and usage

Used in adults and children as an immunostimulant and biostimulator in the complex therapy of diseases accompanied by a decrease in cellular immunity, including acute and chronic purulent processes and inflammatory diseases, in case of burn disease, trophic ulcers, etc., as well as in suppression of immunity and hematopoietic functions after radiation or Chemotherapy in cancer patients and other pathological processes.
The drug is also used for the prevention of infectious complications, depression of immunity and blood formation, regeneration processes in the post-traumatic and postoperative periods, during radiation and chemotherapy of cancer.
There is evidence of the effectiveness of Thymalin in the treatment of erysipelas, chronic pyelonephritis, chemotherapy of pulmonary tuberculosis and other diseases.

Dosage and administration

Inject thymalin deep into the muscles (avoiding contact with blood vessels).
For injection dilute the contents of the vial in 1 - 2 ml isotonic solution Sodium chloride and mix the contents with a slight shaking, not allowing the formation of foam, to obtain a uniform suspension.
Enter for adults 5 - 20 mg daily (30 - 100 mg per course).
Children up to 1 year administered in 1 mg;
13 years old 1 to 2 mg,
4 - 6 years 2 to 3 mg,
7 - 14 years old 3 to 5 mg.
Duration of a course is 3 - 10 days, depending on the severity of immunity disorders.
If necessary, repeat the course (after 1 - 6 months).
With the preventive purpose is administered intramuscularly daily for adults 5 to 10 mg, for children - on 1 - 5 mg within 3 - 5 days.
