Active substance: 0.4 g of hydrolytic lignin (polyphane) (in terms of 100% substance),
Excipients: low-molecular medical polyvinylpyrrolidone (povidone), Calcium stearate.

Mechanism of action

Filtrum-STI - enterosorbent of natural origin. It consists of products of hydrolysis of wood components - lignin polymer, the structural elements of which are derivatives of phenylpropane and hydrocellulose.

It has a high sorption activity and non-specific detoxification effect. In the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract Filtrum-STI binds and removes from the body pathogenic bacteria and bacterial toxins, drugs, poisons, heavy metal salts, alcohol, food allergens. The drug also absorbs an excess of certain metabolic products (including bilirubin, cholesterol, urea), the metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis.

Filtrum-STI is non-toxic and not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications and usage

Filtrum-STI is used as a detoxification agent in adults and children with exogenous and endogenous intoxications of various origins:

• acute poisoning with drugs, alkaloids, heavy metal salts, alcohol and other poisons;
• complex treatment of foodborne diseases, salmonellosis, dysentery, dyspepsia;
• purulent-inflammatory diseases, accompanied by severe intoxication;
• hyperbilirubinemia and hyperazotemia (hepatic and renal failure);
• food and drug allergies;
• prevention of chronic intoxication in workers of hazardous industries.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug;
exacerbation of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer;
intestinal atony.

Dosage and administration

An hour before eating and taking other medicines. The dose of the drug depends on the age, body weight and severity of the disease, the drug is taken 3-4 times a day, the average single dose is:
for children from 12 years and adults - 2-3 tablets
for children under 1 year - 1/2 tab.;
for children 1-3 years old - 1 / 2-1 tab.;
for children 4–7 years old - 1 tab.,
for children of 7–12 years old - 1–2 tab.

The duration of treatment for acute intestinal infections and poisoning 3-5 days, with allergic diseases and chronic intoxication up to 14-21 days. Repeated courses of treatment after 2 weeks on the recommendation of a doctor.

Adverse reactions

Seldom: allergic reactions, constipation.
With prolonged use may be a violation of the absorption of Vitamins, calcium.

Drug Interactions
