Overdosage

Symptoms: overdose may develop hypercalcemia.
Treatment: in this case, as an antidote, calcitonin is used, which is administered intravenously at the rate of 5-10 IU per 1 kg of body weight per day (the drug is diluted in 500 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution, administered dropwise over 6 hours in 2 to 4 doses).
