Local anesthetics for external use

Combined preparation for external use. It has a local anesthetic effect. Menthol, when applied to the skin and mucous membranes, causes irritation of the nerve endings, expands the superficial vessels of the skin, causing a sensation of coolness, accompanied by an analgesic effect and thereby enhances the anesthetic effect of Novocaine and anesthesin; relieves itching.

Indications

Neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia and pruritic dermatosis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, a violation of the skin at the site of application.

Composition

• L-Menthol 2.5 g
• Novocaine (procain) 1 g
• Anestezina 1 g
• Ethyl alcohol 70% (ethanol) to 100 ml

Dosage and administration

Outwardly, rubbing painful skin 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment continues depending on the therapeutic effect, but not more than 3-4 weeks. If necessary, the course can be repeated.

Side effects

With prolonged use - dizziness, weakness, lowering blood pressure.

In these cases, stop using the drug.
