Active ingredients:

Chondroitin sodium sulfate - 50 mg, meloxicam - 10 mg.

Excipients:

dimethyl sulfoxide - 100 mg, propylene glycol - 100 mg, macrogol cetostearate - 12 mg, cetostearyl alcohol [cetyl alcohol not more than 60%, stearyl alcohol not less than 40%] - 42 mg, liquid paraffin - 100 mg, petrolatum - 80 mg, imido urea - 3 mg, sodium disulfite - 0.5 mg, water - up to 1.00 g.

Chondroitin sulfate is a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide, which is a natural component of cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfate improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage, inhibits enzymes that cause cartilage damage, inhibits the processes of cartilage degeneration (destruction), stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, promotes regeneration (restoration) of joint cartilage surfaces, accelerates the processes of their repair, prevents the collapse of the joint,. This leads to a decrease in pain and an increase in mobility of the affected joints.

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, it has anti-inflammatory, analgesic action. Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, violates the metabolism of arachidonic acid, reduces the amount of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the focus of inflammation. Meloxicam is a chondron-neutral drug that does not adversely affect the cartilage tissue, does not affect the synthesis of proteoglycan by articular cartilage chondrocytes.

Indications for use

The drug is recommended for use in the complex treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, spinal osteochondrosis; other diseases of the joints, accompanied by pain.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (as well as to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), violation of the integrity of the skin in the places of the intended application, children's age (up to 12 years).
