Mechanism of action

Increases the body's resistance to viral, bacterial and fungal infections. Nonspecific resistance increases, macrophages and granulocytes are activated, phagocytosis is enhanced. The release of cytokines leads to proliferation and stimulation of immunocompetent cells. The content of properdin in serum increases.

Some substances contained in the extract of Echinacea, detected antiviral activity against influenza viruses and herpes, as well as the inhibitory effect on tissue and bacterial hyaluronidase.

Indications

- prevention of SARS and acute respiratory infections;

- initial signs of flu and cold (in complex therapy);

- as an aid in recurrent infections of the respiratory and urinary tract.

Dosage and administration

Adults and children over 12 years old - 1 tab. 3-4 times / day

Tablets must be kept in the mouth until complete resorption.

To achieve a good result, the drug should be taken at least 1 week.

The drug should not be taken for a long time (more than 8 weeks).

Side effect

Allergic reactions: skin rashes, itching, swelling of the face, difficulty breathing, dizziness, lowering blood pressure. With the development of hypersensitivity taking pills should be discontinued.

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to Echinacea purpurea, to other plants of the Asteraceae family (chamomile, arnica, golden daisy, marigold), as well as to any other ingredients of the preparation;

- Systemic diseases of the connective tissue, progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, leukemia, common atherosclerosis;

- multiple sclerosis, autoimmune diseases;

- AIDS, HIV infection;

- children's age (up to 12 years).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It should not be prescribed during pregnancy and lactation, because the safety of the drug in these situations has not been studied.
