Bronchotone - a combined drug, has antitussive and bronchodilatory effect. Glaucine hydrobromide suppresses the cough center, without, however, leading to respiratory depression, the development of constipation and drug dependence. Ephedrine stimulates breathing, dilates the bronchi and (due to vasoconstrictor action) eliminates the swelling of the bronchial mucosa. Basil oil has a sedative (weak), antimicrobial and antispasmodic effect.
Dry cough: bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, COPD, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, bronchopneumonia.

Bronchotone reduces the hypotensive effect of sympatholytics.
