Active ingredient and dosage form

Emoxibel - solution for intraocular administration:

1 ml of solution contains emoxipine 10 mg; in a vial of 1 ml, in a carton 10 pcs.

Mechanism of action

Emoxibel has a retinoprotective effect. Protects eye tissue, incl. the retina, from the damaging effects of high intensity light. Emoxibel reduces vascular permeability, blood viscosity, capillary permeability, promotes the resorption of intraocular hemorrhages. Expands coronary vessels.

Intraocular hemorrhage, diabetic retinopathy, central chorioretinal dystrophy, thrombosis, central retinal vein and its branches, traumatic hemorrhage, complicated myopia, protection of retinal high intensity light exposure (laser and sunburn, laser coagulation), glaucoma (in the postoperative period), acute and chronic disorders of cerebral circulation ischemic and hemorrhagic in nature (in adults), acute myocardial infarction, prevention of "reperfusion syndrome", carried stable angina.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pregnancy.

Adverse reactions

Excitation (short term), drowsiness, increased blood pressure, rash, local reactions: pain, burning sensation, itching, redness, hardening of paraorbital tissues.

Dosage and administration

In Neurology and Cardiology - Emoxibel is administered intravenously in a drip (20-40 drops / min), 20-30 ml of 3% solution (600-900 mg) 1-3 times a day for 5-15 days (previously Emoxibel is diluted in 200 ml of 0.9% solution of NaCl or 5% dextrose solution). The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease. In the subsequent transfer to the intramuscular injection - 3-5 ml of 3% solution 2-3 times a day for 10-30 days.

In ophthalmology - subconjunctival or parabulbarno, 1 time per day or every other day. Subconjunctival - 0.2-0.5 ml of 1% solution (2-5 mg), parabulbarno - 0.5-1 ml of 1% solution (5-1 mg). The duration of treatment is 10-30 days; The course can be repeated 2-3 times a year.

If necessary, retro-bulbar 0.5-1 ml of 1% solution 1 time per day for 10-15 days.

To protect the retina during laser coagulation (including with limiting and destructive coagulation of tumors) - parabulbar or retrobulbar in 0.5-1 ml of 1% solution for 24 hours and 1 hour before coagulation; then in the same doses (0.5 ml of 1% solution) 1 time per day for 2-10 days.
