Mechanism of action

Means of plant origin. Essential oil (thymol, carvacrol, etc.), tannins, flavonoids, Vitamins provide a wide range of pharmacological activity of oregano herb. Oregano herb has an expectorant effect, increases peristalsis and intestinal tone, increases the secretion of gastric juice, has a choleretic and diuretic effect. Galenic preparations of oregano have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, analgesic properties. Separately, it should be noted sedative properties of infusion of herbs oregano.

Indications and usage

Chronic bronchitis, intestinal atony.

It is applied internally in the form of prepared infusion (10-15 g per 200 ml of water).
