Composition and release form
Laksigal - drops for oral administration:
1 ml contains sodium picosulfate 7.5 mg; in a bottle of 10 ml.
Farmbutcologic action
Laksigal has a laxative effect. Under the influence of intestinal microorganisms, it hydrolyzes and forms substances that irritate the receptors of the mucous membrane.
Indications
Acute functional constipation (for example, when changing the location), secondary constipation (compared to other diseases), regulation and relief of stool in patients with rectal pathology (fissures of the rectal mucosa, painful hemorrhoids, etc.), preparation for radiological or endoscopic studies of the digestive tract.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to substances of triarylmethanol series and parabens); intestinal obstruction, strangulated hernia, peritonitis, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs; abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting of unknown origin; condition after operations on the gastrointestinal tract, marked dehydration of the body, children's age (up to 4 years).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Breastfeeding is contraindicated (at the time of treatment). Laxigal during pregnancy is used only on prescription.
Side effects
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, urge to vomit; with prolonged use - excessive loss of fluid and electrolytes.
Dosage and administration
Laksigal taken orally, adults and children over 10 years of age - in a single dose of 12-24 drops; children from 4 to 10 years old - in a single dose of 6-12 drops. The drug is recommended to use at bedtime.
Storage conditions and shelf life
In the dark place at a temperature of 10-25 ° C. (do not freeze). Shelf life - 2 years.
