Magnesium plus effervescent tablets - round flat-cylindrical with a beveled edge of white or white with a slightly yellowish-greenish tint of color, with a dividing strip on one side, with a slight specific odor.

Magnesium carbonate - 100 mg, Magnesium lactate - 200 mg, Vitamin B6 - 2 mg, Vitamin B12 - 0.001 mg, Folic acid (vitamin B9) - 0.2 mg;
Excipients: sodium bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate), citric acid, sodium saccharinate, sorbitol, polyethylene glycol (macrogol), aromatic additive;

Pharmacology

Magnesium is a vital element. It plays an important role in the activity of the nervous system, participates in the regulation of transmission of nerve impulses and in muscle contraction, in most metabolic reactions, contributes to the production and consumption of energy, plays an important physiological role in maintaining ionic balance.
Magnesium deficiency manifests itself in the form of neuromuscular disorders (muscle weakness, tremors, cramps, convulsions), mental disorders (insomnia, irritability, anxiety), heart rhythm disorders (extrasystole, tachycardia) and gastrointestinal activity (pain, diarrhea, spasms, flatulence).Vitamin B6 plays an important role in metabolism, contributes to the maintenance of the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums; affects erythropoiesis, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and complements the effect of magnesium.
Vitamin B12 and folic acid are involved in many enzymatic reactions.

Indications and usage

Prevention of magnesium deficiency and related disorders, such as: insomnia, irritability, anxiety, asthenia, apathy.

Contraindications

Severe renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min).
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Children's age up to 6 years.
Carefully: with moderate renal failure, as there is a risk of hypermagnesia.

The drug can be used during pregnancy only as prescribed by a doctor.
Magnesium penetrates into breast milk, so you should avoid using the drug during breastfeeding.

Dosage and administration

Take in the morning, dissolved in a glass of water.
Adults: 1-2 tablets. Children: from 6 to 12 years old - 1/2 tablet.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions, dyspeptic disorders (diarrhea, abdominal pain). When used in high doses, hypermagneemia may develop.

Special notes

In the event of a concomitant Calcium deficiency, magnesium deficiency must be eliminated before the introduction of an additional calcium supplement.
With the frequent use of laxatives, alcohol, increased physical and mental stress, the need for magnesium increases.
