The use of the drug Afloderm in pregnant women is allowed in cases where, according to the evaluation of the attending physician, the potential benefit to the pregnant woman prevails over the possible risk to the fetus. In these cases, the application should be short and limited to small patches of skin. Data on the teratogenic effect are not available.
The use of the drug Afloderm cream and ointment is possible in nursing mothers. Care must be taken when using the drug in nursing mothers, in particular, the drug should not be applied to the skin of the mammary gland before feeding.
Side effects from external use Afloderm rarely develop and are reversible.
Rarely, as with the use of other corticosteroids, 1–2% of patients may develop a hypersensitivity reaction (itching, burning, redness or dry skin, as well as irritation and rash in the form of papules).Extremely rare - acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, prickly heat, folliculitis, striae, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, allergic contact dermatitis and secondary skin infections.
Afloderm is for external use only.
Like other local corticosteroids, the drug Afloderm should not be applied to the skin in the eye area (due to the possible development of glaucoma and cataracts), as well as on the wound surfaces.
Store in a cool and dark place, protected from light and moisture, at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C.
