Influence on ability to drive motor transport and control mechanisms

Sildenafil does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms.

Drug interaction

With the simultaneous use of CYP3A4 inhibitors (erythromycin, cimetidine), the clearance of sildenafil decreases, the concentration of sildenafil in the blood plasma increases.

With simultaneous use of indinavir, saquinavir, ritonavir increases Cmax in plasma and AUC of sildenafil, which is due to inhibition of CYP3A4 isoenzyme under the influence of indinavir, saquinavir, ritonavir.

Stronger CYP3A4 isoenzyme inhibitors, such as Ketoconazole or itraconazole, can be expected to increase plasma concentration of sildenafil

With simultaneous use with nitrates, the hypotensive effect of nitrates is enhanced.

A case of developing symptoms of rhabdomyolysis after a single dose of sildenafil in a patient receiving Simvastatin is described.
