pharmachologic effect

The medicinal properties of the drug determine the live lyophilized bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium bifidum) contained in it, which are inherent in a person from birth, have antagonistic activity against a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms. A high quantitative level of bifidobacteria in the preparation allows to normalize the intestinal microflora and thereby improve the activity of the gastrointestinal tract, metabolic processes, parietal digestion, and increase the nonspecific resistance of the organism.

Indications

• Intestinal dysbiosis of various etiologies.
• As part of complex therapy: intestinal dysfunctions of unknown etiology; acute intestinal infections (dysentery, salmonella, escherichiosis, yersiniosis, rotavirus infection, of unknown etiology); convalescents after acute intestinal infections; chronic diseases of the digestive system in violation of the intestinal microflora; children (including newborns and premature infants) with pneumonia, sepsis and other purulent-infectious diseases, as well as with anemia, malnutrition, rickets to reduce complications and increase the effectiveness of the main treatment; allergic diseases; dysbiosis and inflammation of the female genitalia (bacterial vaginosis, including in pregnant women, bacterial colpitis, and senile colpitis of a hormonal nature).
• For the prevention of dysbacteriosis: when taking antibacterial drugs (including antibiotics), glucocorticosteroids, drugs that have an ulcerogenic effect on the gastrointestinal tract (including NSAIDs); with radiation and Chemotherapy; under stressful situations and being in extreme conditions; often sick children of all ages; children with premorbid state, born prematurely or with signs of prematurity,receiving antibiotics in the early neonatal period; children whose mothers suffered from severe toxemia, extragenital diseases, had a long anhydrous period, had lactostasis, cracked nipples and resumed breastfeeding after recovering from mastitis; infants with early transfer to artificial feeding and feeding with donor milk.
• In order to prevent mastitis for local treatment of the mammary glands of nursing mothers of the “risk” group (in women with a flat nipple retracted, reducing its erection, the presence of cracks).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is approved for use in women during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are no special conditions for admission.

Contraindications

Congenital lactase deficiency. Impaired glucose-galactose absorption.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible.

Interaction

At the same time taking Bifidumbakterin with Vitamins (especially group B), the effect of the drug is enhanced. When taking antibiotics, the recommended interval between taking an antibiotic and Bifidumbacterin is 3 to 4 hours.

How to take, the course of administration and dosage

Inside, during meals (mixed with a liquid part of food, preferably fermented milk, or with 30-50 ml of boiled water at room temperature, or with mother&№39;s milk) for the prevention of intestinal diseases in adults and children 3 years old - 2 sachets (capsules) 1- 2 times a day, children older than 6 months - 1 sachet (capsule) 1-2 times a day, up to 6 months - 1 sachet (capsule) 1 time a day, for 2-3 weeks 2-3 times a year.

Treatment: adults and children over 7 years old - 2 sachets (capsules) 3-4 times a day; children 3-7 years old - 1 sachet (capsule) 3-5 times a day, from 6 months to 3 years - 1 sachet (capsule) 3-4 times a day, up to 6 months - 1 sachet (capsule) 2 -3 times a day, if necessary, from 2-3 days to 4-6 times a day. The course is 3-4 weeks, again - in a month.

Acute intestinal infections: in therapeutic doses for 5-7 days.
