For the manufacture of the drug in vials and ampoules using the microbial mass of living bifidobacteria, lyophilized in a protective sugar-gelatin-dairy medium with a growing medium. Bifidumbacterin in powder - freeze-dried biomass of live bacteria, purified from the growing medium. One dose Bifidumbacterin in vials, ampoules, contains 10 ^ 7, in powder - 10 ^ 8 living cells.

is a dried microbial mass of live bifidobacteria immobilized on a sorbent (stone activated carbon). One dose Bifidumbacterin forte contains at least 10 ^ 7 colony forming units (CFU) of bifidobacteria (artificially created microcolonies). The drug is released in powder for 5 doses.

High therapeutic properties of bifidumbacterin forte are caused by colonization of the intestine with bifidobacteria, which in the immobilized state provide dense local colonization of the mucous membranes and, thus, restore normal flora and reparative process in the intestinal mucosa.

Mechanism of action

Bifidumbacterin - normalizes the intestinal microflora, immunomodulating agent. Bifidumbacterin is a probiotic and contains lyophilized live antagonist active bifidobacteria. It is an antagonist of a wide range of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms; activates the process of digestion and gastrointestinal function, metabolic processes, increases the nonspecific resistance of the organism.

Indications and usage

For the prevention of dysbiosis in frequently ill SARS children and adults.
For the prevention of mastitis in nursing mothers at risk.
In children's practice: infectious (purulent-septic processes, pneumonia) and other diseases (complex therapy in young children; anemia, hypotrophy, rickets and allergic diathesis in weakened children; early transfer of infants to artificial feeding and feeding with donor milk).
