Mechanism of action

The drug that regulates the balance of intestinal microflora. Due to the presence of an acid-resistant capsule, lactic acid bacteria do not collapse under the influence of gastric juice. When reaching the intestinal level of pH = 6.0-6.8 capsule dissolves. Bacteria actively colonize the small and large intestine. Acetic and lactic acids are produced, thereby inhibiting the growth and reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms. Bifidobacteria and enterococci are also involved in the synthesis and absorption of Vitamins, enzymatic cleavage of proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates (including in lactase deficiency in children). Bacterial strains with a predictable high level of antibiotic resistance are used.

Currently, there are no pharmacokinetic models for the study in humans of complex biological substances consisting of components with different molecular weights.

Indications and usage

- for the normalization of intestinal microflora, as well as for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders in children over 2 years old and adults.

Prescribe adults and children from 2 years 2-3 capsules / day. If necessary, the daily dose may be increased to 4 capsules.
At treatment of gastrointestinal disorders antidiarrheal effect is achieved, as a rule, in the first days of the drug. A course of treatment acute diarrhea may be 2-3 days. In other cases, the course of treatment is 10-21 days.
