Active ingredient

Injection:
1 ampoule with 10 ml of solution for injections contains Calcium chloride 1 g;

Mechanism of action

Calcium chloride is a calcium preparation, has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, hemostatic, detoxification effect. Replenishes calcium deficiency.

Calcium ions are involved in the transmission of nerve impulses, reducing skeletal and smooth muscles, in the functional activity of the myocardium, blood clotting, formation and preservation of the integrity of bone tissue.

Increased need for calcium during growth, lactation, pregnancy; bleeding of various etiology and localization (pulmonary, gastrointestinal, nasal, uterine, etc.);
allergic diseases (serum sickness, urticaria, febrile syndrome, pruritus, angioedema);
bronchial asthma, dystrophic alimentary edema, spasmophilia, tetany, pulmonary tuberculosis, rickets, osteomalacia, lead colic; hypoparathyroidism, hypocalcemia, increased vascular permeability (hemorrhagic vasculitis, radiation sickness), parenchymal hepatitis, toxic hepatitis, nephritis, eclampsia, weakness of labor activity, poisoning with Magnesium salts, oxalic and fluoric acids; paroxysmal myoplegia (hyperkalemic form); inflammatory and exudative processes (pneumonia, pleurisy, adnexitis, endometritis, etc.); eczema, psoriasis.

Insufficient calcium content in food, impaired absorption (pancreatic enzyme deficiency, achlorhydria, condition after gastroectomy, extensive bowel resections) or increased excretion from the body (chronic diarrhea, taking certain diuretic and anticonvulsant drugs).

Contraindications

Tendency to thrombosis, pronounced atherosclerosis, elevated levels of calcium in the blood.

Dosage and administration

Calcium chloride is injected into / in a drip (6 drops per minute), diluting 5-10 ml of 10% solution in 100-200 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution or 5% glucose solution. In / in the jet (slowly, for 3 - 5 min) - 5 ml.

Adverse reactions

Feeling hot, bradycardia, ventricular fibrillation of the heart.

Calcium chloride can not be administered s / c or / m due to severe tissue irritation and possible development of necrosis.
