Gaviscon - oral suspension (mint):
10 ml contains sodium alginate 500 mg; sodium bicarbonate 267 mg, Calcium carbonate 160 mg; in dark glass bottles of 100, 150 or 300 ml.
Gaviscon has antacid action. When ingested, Gaviscon reacts quickly with the acidic contents of the stomach. This forms alginate gel, which prevents the occurrence of gastroesophageal reflux. When regurgitation gel is more likely than the contents of the stomach, enters the esophagus, where it reduces the irritation of the mucous membrane.
Symptomatic treatment of dyspepsia associated with increased acidity of gastric juice and gastroesophageal reflux (heartburn, sour belching), feeling of heaviness in the stomach after eating, including during pregnancy.
