Hexicon is an antiseptic preparation for local use. Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria: Treponema pallidum, Chlamydia spp., Ureaplasma spp., Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Bacteroides fragilis; protozoa: Trichomonas vaginalis; viruses: Herpes simplex types 1 and 2. Hexicon does not violate the functional activity of lactobacilli. Remains active (although somewhat reduced) in the presence of blood, pus.
- prevention of sexually transmitted infections (including gonorrhea, syphilis, trichomoniasis, chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, genital herpes);
- prevention of infectious and inflammatory complications in obstetrics and gynecology (before surgical treatment of gynecological diseases, before childbirth and abortion, before and after installing the intrauterine device, before and after cervical diathermocoagulation, before intrauterine devices);
- treatment of bacterial vaginosis, colpitis (including non-specific, mixed, trichomonas).
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
For the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, a single dose of 1 tab. The drug should be used no later than 2 hours after intercourse. For treatment prescribed on 1 tab. 2 times / day for 7-10 days. If necessary, prolongation of therapy up to 20 days is possible.
Possible: allergic reactions, itching, passing after discontinuation of the drug.
Hexione is incompatible with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) and soaps, if they are administered intravaginally. The toilet of the external genital organs does not affect the efficacy and tolerability of the Hexicon vaginal tablets, since The drug is used intravaginally.
