Active ingredient and dosage form

Kapoten - tablets:

1 pill contains Captopril 25 or 50 mg; in packing of 28, 40 and 56 pieces.

Mechanism of action

Kapoten has a hypotensive effect. Blocks ACE and inhibits the formation of angiotensin II.

Indications and usage

Hypertension, congestive heart failure.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, renal artery stenosis, condition after kidney transplantation, pronounced renal dysfunction, aortic stenosis.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Assign only on strict indications.

Adverse reactions

In rare cases, epigastric pain, proteinuria, edema, neutropenia, pruritus, and hyperemia are possible.

Dosage and administration

Doses of Capoten should be selected by a doctor. Inside, one hour before meals, 25-50 mg 2-3 times a day (but not more than 450 mg per day), for children the initial dose is 0.15-0.3 mg / kg (but not more than 6 mg / kg per day).

Storage conditions
