Active ingredient and dosage form

Neuromidin - solution for i / m and s / c injection: 1 ampoule of solution contains ipidacrine 5 and 15 mg; 10 pieces per pack.

Mechanism of action

Neuromidin has anticholinesterase effect.

peripheral nervous system diseases in adults (neuritis, polyneuritis, polyneuropathy, polyradiculopathy, myasthenia gravis and myasthenic syndrome of different etiology); bulbar paralysis and paresis; organic damage to the central nervous system accompanied by movement disorders (recovery period); demyelinating diseases (complex therapy); intestinal atony.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to any component of Neuromidin; epilepsy; extrapyramidal disease with hyperkinesis; angina; bradycardia, bronchial asthma, intestinal blockage or urinary tract; vestibular disorders, gastric ulcer or duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, pregnancy, lactation, children's age.

Adverse reactions

Caused by the initiation of cholinergic receptors: salivation, increased sweating, palpitations, nausea, diarrhea, jaundice, bradycardia, epigastric pain, increased secretion of bronchial secretions, convulsions. Salivation and bradycardia can be reduced by m-holinoblokatorami (atropine, etc.). Less often (after applying higher doses) dizziness, headache, vomiting, general weakness, drowsiness, skin-allergic reactions (itching, rash) were observed. In these cases, reduce the dose or briefly (1-2 days) interrupt the administration of Neuromidin. These side effects are observed in less than 10% of patients.

Dosage and Administration

The drug should be taken orally, in / m or p / k. Doses and duration of treatment are determined individually depending on the severity of the disease. Diseases of the peripheral nervous system (including myasthenia gravis and myasthenic syndrome): 10-20 mg (0.5-1 tablets) 1-3 times a day or 5 -15 mg (1 amp.) 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment is 1-2 months. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated several times with a break of 1-2 months. To prevent myasthenic crises with severe neuromuscular conduction disorders, 1-2 ml (15-30 mg) of 1.5% Neuromidin injection solution is briefly injected parenterally, then the treatment is continued with Neuromidin tablets,the dose can be increased up to 20-40 mg (1-2 tablets) 5-6 times a day. In case of intestinal atony (treatment and prevention), the initial dose is 10-15 mg (1-2 amp.) for 1-2 weeks (it is possible to increase the dose to 30 mg) or 20 mg (1 tab.) 2-3 times a day for 1-2 weeks. When taking pills - if the next dose is not taken on time, then it is not taken additionally. Maximum daily Dose - 200 mg.

Special notes

During treatment, one should refrain from driving a car, as well as engaging in potentially hazardous activities that require high concentration of attention and psychomotor speed.
