Estriol is a natural estrogen. It contributes to the restoration of normal vaginal epithelium with its atrophic changes in pre- and postmenopause, contributes to the normalization of the microflora of the vagina, thereby increasing the resistance of the epithelium of the vagina to infectious and inflammatory processes. Since estriol has a short duration of action, taking the drug once daily in a dose does not cause endometrial proliferation and does not require additional progestogen therapy. Consequently, there is no withdrawal bleeding.
It has no significant effect on mineral and protein metabolism, blood glucose level, peripheral blood picture, plasma phosphorus content.
