Mechanism of action

Pariet has an anti-ulcer effect.

Indications and usage

Duodenal ulcer in the acute stage; gastric ulcer in the acute stage; gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): erosive reflux esophagitis (treatment), symptomatic treatment of GERD (ie, NERD - non-erosive reflux disease); Zollinger-Ellison syndrome or other conditions characterized by pathological hypersecretion. In combination with antibacterial agents, it is used in the following conditions: Helicobacter pylori eradication in patients with peptic ulcer or chronic gastritis; treatment and prevention of ulcer recurrence in patients with peptic ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to rabeprazole, substituted benzimidazoles or to the auxiliary components of the drug; pregnancy; lactation.

Dosage and administration

Pariet is taken orally, without chewing or chopping, swallowing whole. It is recommended to take 1 tab. 20 mg 1 time per day for 4-8 weeks. The best results of eradication, exceeding 90%, are observed when using a combination of Pariet with Clarithromycin and Amoxicillin. Adverse reactions

Based on the experience of clinical trials, it can be concluded that Pariet is generally well tolerated by patients. The side effects are generally mild or moderate and are transient. The following side effects were observed when taking Pariet: headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, asthenia, flatulence, skin rash and dry mouth. In rare cases, allergic reactions were reported (edema persons who have dyspnea, erythema or bullous rash) in patients taking Pariet.
