Mechanism of action

Posterisan rectal suppository - a drug for local use in diseases of the anorectal region.

Cell wall antigens and metabolites of Escherichia coli contained in Posterisan, when in contact with the mucous membrane of the rectum and the skin of the anogenital region, increase the local resistance of the tissues to the effects of pathogenic microflora.

The drug stimulates the T-system of immunity, increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, nonspecific immunity factors, reduces vascular exudation during inflammation, normalizes blood vessel permeability and tone, and stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Indications and usage

- The drug is prescribed for adults with the following diseases:
- Persistent course of hemorrhoids.
- Perianal dermatitis.
- Anal and genital pruritus, especially with resistance to treatment with other drugs.
- Anal fissure.
- Anopapillite.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to phenol.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Dosage and administration

Suppositories are used for 1 pc. in the morning and in the evening, and also after each act of defecation.

Duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Adverse reactions
