Active ingredient

Reglan - antiemetic drug. A specific dopamine receptor blocker, weakens the sensitivity of the visceral nerves, which transmit impulses from the pyloric region of the stomach and duodenum to the emetic center. Through the hypothalamus and the parasympathetic nervous system has a regulating and coordinating effect on the tone and motor activity of the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract (including the tone of the lower digestive sphincter alone).
Increases muscle tone of the stomach and intestines, accelerates gastric emptying, reduces hyperacid stasis, prevents pyloric and esophageal reflux. Stimulates intestinal motility.

Indications and usage

- vomiting and nausea of ​​various origins;

- biliary dyskinesia;
- reflux esophagitis;

Contraindications

Dosage and administration

Adverse reactions

With prolonged treatment with Cerucul in elderly patients, symptoms of parkinsonism and late dyskinesia may develop.
Hemic and lymphatic: agranulocytosis.
Cardiovascular: supraventricular tachycardia, hypotension or hypertension.
Gastrointestinal: constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Reglan is contraindicated for use in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Overdosage

Symptoms: drowsiness, confusion, irritability, anxiety, convulsions, extrapyramidal motor disorders, cardiovascular dysfunction with bradycardia and arterial hypo- or hypertension.
In milder forms of poisoning, symptoms disappear 24 hours after discontinuation of the drug. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, it is recommended to establish monitoring of the vital functions of the patient. Deaths of poisoning during overdose have not been identified.
Treatment: conduct symptomatic therapy. Extrapyramidal disorders eliminate slow on / in the introduction of biperidine (doses for adults - 2.5-5 mg). Diazepam may be used.
