Composition

1 ml of oral suspension contains: simethicone 69.19 mg.
Excipients: polyglycostearyl acid esters, methylhydroxypropylcellulose, carbomer, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, vanilla flavoring, raspberry flavoring, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, purified water, sorbic acid, sodium benzoate.

Packing

Mechanism of action

Sab simplex - a drug that reduces flatulence. Reduces the surface tension at the phase boundary, complicates the formation and contributes to the destruction of gas bubbles in the contents of the gastrointestinal tract, the gases released during this are absorbed by the intestinal wall or are removed due to peristalsis. The drug removes foam by purely physical means, does not enter into chemical reactions, is pharmacologically inert.
With ultrasound and radiographic studies prevents the formation of noise and distortion of images; promotes better irrigation of the mucous membrane of the colon with a contrast agent, preventing the rupture of the contrast film.

Indications and usage

- Flatulence (including postoperative).

Dosage and administration

With increased gas formation
For newborns and babies who are bottle-fed, add 15 drops (0.6 ml) of the suspension. The drug mixes well with other liquids (including milk).
Preschool children add 15 drops (0.6 ml) during or after meals, and if necessary, an additional 15 drops at night.
School children a single dose of 20-30 drops (0.8-0.12 ml).
Adults - 30-45 drops (1.2-1.8 ml), which dose is taken every 4-6 hours.If necessary, may increase the single dose.
The duration of application depends on the clinical situation, if necessary, long-term therapy is possible.
To prepare for radiography 3-6 teaspoons (15-30 ml) of the drug should be taken in the evening before the study.
To prepare for ultrasound It is recommended to take 3 teaspoons (15 ml) in the evening one day before the study and 3 teaspoons 3 hours before the study.
Before endoscopy 0.5-1 tsp (2.5-5 ml) should be taken and, during the study, add an additional ml of the suspension of the drug through the endoscope.

Adverse reactions

Special notes

Suspension should be taken during or after meals and, if necessary, before bedtime. Newborn drug can be given with a spoon before feeding. The bottle before use should be actively shaken. To start the suspension from the pipette, the vial should be turned upside down and tap on the bottom. Before using the drug in preparation for diagnostic studies of the gastrointestinal tract, it is recommended to remove the pipette from the vial.
