Mechanism of action

Vicks asset - a combined drug, the action of which is due to the components in its composition. Provides irritant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. Reducing the degree of nasal congestion with a single application of the drug is observed up to 8 hours.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, a tendency to laryngo-and bronchospasm, bronchial asthma, whooping cough, false croup (acute stenosing laryngotracheitis), cough caused by accumulation of sputum (mucus), prolonged or chronic cough caused by smoking or emphysema, damage to the skin or skin diseases in the area of ​​the intended use of the drug, children under 2 years.

Dosage and administration

External use (rubbing).
Only for adults and children over 2 years old.
To rub the ointment in light movements 2-4 times a day in the skin of the chest with a runny nose and nasal congestion; in the skin of the neck when coughing and sore throat; in the skin of the back when coughing. The duration of treatment is on average up to 5 days.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, skin irritation in the application area, lacrimation are possible.
