Ophthalmic hydrogel VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) in single-dose tubes, droppers, 0.45 ml

Composition

Active ingredient: sodium hyaluronate 3 mg / ml

Auxiliary components: sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium dihydrophosphate, Calcium chloride, Magnesium chloride, sodium citrate, water for injection.

Does not contain preservatives.

Transparent colorless solution, free from visible particles, for long-term protection and wetting of the front surface of the eye

Sodium hyaluronate is a natural polymer that is present in the tissues of the human eye. Therapeutic effect VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) is associated with the property of viscoelasticity and the ability of sodium hyaluronate to bind and retain water. VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) is characterized by high viscosity in the absence of blink movements and low viscosity at the moment of blinking, which ensures its effective distribution over the surface of the eye, preventing "dryness" and irritation of the eye. Sodium hyaluronate has an affinity for tear mucoglycoprotein, which contributes to an increase in the stability of the tear film.

VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel), as well as the lacrimal fluid, contains calcium, magnesium and potassium ions necessary to maintain normal structure and function of the cornea of the eye.

Inclusion in VISMED® (WIZMED®) sodium citrate helps to maintain the viscoelastic properties of the product in the presence of other ions and to avoid their precipitation.

VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) promotes regeneration, incl. after keratorefractive surgeries due to increased cell migration.

The leading mechanism in the development of dry eye syndrome is hyperosmolar tears and instability of the tear film. VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) due to its hypotonicity is able to compensate for hyperosmolar tears.

Thanks to a unique combination of components, VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) provides long-term protection of the cornea, alleviating the symptoms of "dry" eyes by restoring the normal properties of the tear film.

Ophthalmic hydrogel VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) in single-dose 0,5 ml dropper tubes is used for long-term protection and moisturizing of the eye in the presence of manifestations of dry eye syndrome and / or damage to the anterior surface of the eye during keratitis and Sjogren's syndrome.

For long-lasting wetting of the eye surface with complaints of a feeling of "dryness", burning, eye fatigue caused by wearing hard or soft contact lenses, prolonged computer work, being in a conditioned room, dust, exposure to dry air, wind or cold, as a result of ophthalmic instrumental surveys.

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the hydrogel.

Dosage and administration

Open the container by twisting the break-off cap clockwise (Figure 1).

Tilt the head back, position the container dropper above the eye and index finger of one hand and pull the lower eyelid down.

Lightly press down on the container and drip 1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac of the eye, unless otherwise recommended (Fig. 2).

When blinking, the liquid is evenly distributed over the surface of the eye, forming a protective coating on the surface of the eye. VISMED® gel (WIZMED® gel) can be instilled in when wearing any type of contact lenses (hard or soft), without removing them during instillation.

Storage conditions

Keep out of the reach of children! Store at temperatures below 25 ° C. Do not freeze.
