Indications and usage

Treatment of erectile dysfunction, characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection of the penis, sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse.

Dosage and administration

Pills are taken orally, regardless of the meal, 30 minutes before the intended sexual activity.

The recommended dose is 100 mg. If necessary, taking into account individual efficacy and tolerability, the dose can be increased to 200 mg. The maximum recommended frequency of use is 1 time / day.

Adverse reactions

Cardiovascular: often - flushing.
From the side of the central nervous system: sometimes - dizziness, stiff neck muscles, paresthesias.
On the part of the organ of vision: often - redness of the eyes; sometimes - blurred vision, pain in the eyes, increased tearing.
Dermatological reactions: sometimes - swelling of the eyelids, swelling of the face, urticaria.
From the digestive system: often - dyspepsia, discomfort in the abdomen; sometimes nausea, toothache, constipation, gastritis.
From the endocrine system: sometimes - thirst.
On the part of the respiratory system: often - nasal congestion; sometimes - shortness of breath, dry nose.
Musculoskeletal system: sometimes - periarthritis.
On the part of the body as a whole: often - headache, discomfort in the chest, feeling of heat, sometimes - chest pain, abdominal pain, fatigue.

Also marked: heart palpitations, nosebleeds, tinnitus, diarrhea, allergic reactions (skin rash, erythema), prolonged erection, general discomfort, feeling cold or fever, postural dizziness, cough.

Contraindications

Simultaneous intake of nitrates and other nitric oxide donors;
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

Carefully: patients with uncontrolled arterial hypertension (BP> 170/100 mm Hg), arterial hypotension (BP <90/50 mm Hg); patients with hereditary degenerative diseases of the retina (including retinitis pigmentosa, proliferative diabetic retinopathy); patients who have had a stroke, myocardial infarction or coronary artery bypass surgery during the last 6 months; patients with severe hepatic or renal failure; in the presence of congenital lengthening of the QT interval, or with an increase in the QT interval due to drug intake.

Consideration should be given to the potential risk of complications during sexual activity in patients with diseases of the cardiovascular system, such as unstable angina or angina during sexual intercourse; chronic heart failure of the II-IV functional class (according to the NYHA classification), developed in the last 6 months; uncontrollable heart rhythm disorders.

Caution should be applied Zydena in patients with a predisposition to priapism, as well as in patients with anatomical deformation of the penis, in the presence of a penile implant.

While taking Zydena and Calcium channel blockers, alpha-adrenergic blockers or other antihypertensive drugs, an additional decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure by 7-8 mm Hg can be observed.

Special notes

Sexual activity has a potential risk for patients with cardiovascular diseases, therefore the treatment of erectile dysfunction, including with the use of Zydena, should not be carried out in men with heart disease, in which sexual activity is not recommended.

Patients with impaired outflow of blood from the left ventricle (aortic stenosis) may be more sensitive to the action of vasodilators, including PDE inhibitors. Despite the absence in clinical studies of cases of prolonged erection (more than 4 hours) and priapism (painful erection lasting more than 6 hours), such phenomena are characteristic of this class of drugs. In the event of an erection lasting more than 4 hours (regardless of the presence of pain), patients should immediately seek medical help. In the absence of timely treatment, priapism can lead to irreversible damage to erectile tissue and erectile function.

Due to the lack of clinical data on the use of udenafil in patients over 71 years of age in this category of patients, this drug is not recommended. It is not recommended to use Zydena in combination with other types of treatment for erectile dysfunction.
