1 pill contains: zinc sulfate monohydrate 124.00 mg, pharmaceutical lactose 78.50 mg, potato starch 38.75 mg, polyvinylpyrrolidone 20.00 mg, talc 12.38 mg, Magnesium stearate 1.37 mg.
Shell composition: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (Methocel E-5 premium) 6.770 mg, titanium dioxide 1.897 mg, polyoxyethylene glycol (Carbowax 4000) 0.379 mg, Sicovit Azorubinlack E122 0.948 mg.

Mechanism of action

Zincteral is a zinc drug that is involved in the metabolism and stabilization of cell membranes. Part of the main enzymes involved in various biochemical reactions. Zinc is a factor affecting the processes of regeneration, transmission of nerve impulses. Enhances the action of insulin, promotes the synthesis of cortisol.

Indications and usage

- As part of complex treatment of diseases leading to the development of zinc deficiency in the body.
- Acrodermatitis enteropathica (enteropathic acrodermatitis).
- Alopecia areata (ginger alopecia).
- Alopecia maligna (malignant alopecia).
- Acne pustulosa.
- Acne phlegmonosa (pustular and purulent acne).
- With long-term treatment with corticosteroids, especially at the time of withdrawal of drugs.
- As an auxiliary treatment for difficult healing wounds.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug.

Dosage and administration

Inside pills can not be divided or chewed.
Enteropathic acrodermatitis, alopecia baldness: adults and children over 4 years old - 1 pill 3 times a day during or after meals. Upon reaching clinical improvement, the dose is reduced to 1 pill 2 times a day, and then 1 pill per day until the symptoms of the disease completely disappear.
Malignant alopecia: adults 1-2 pills 3 times a day; children over 4 years old - 1 pill 3 times a day.
Pustular and purulent acne: adults - 1-2 pills per day; Children over 4 years old - 1 pill per day.
In conditions associated with zinc deficiency: adults - 1 pill 3 times a day, during or after a meal, as the symptoms disappear, the dose can be reduced to 1 pill per day; Children over 4 years old - 1 pill per day.

Adverse reactions

May be noted (especially at high doses): nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, leukopenia, accompanied by fever, chills, sore throat, sideroblastic anemia, accompanied by weakness, decreased levels of copper in the blood plasma.
Rarely found: headaches, metallic taste in the mouth.

With long-term use of zinc drugs should take into account the risk of copper deficiency. Avoid alcohol. The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles.

Drug interactions

Zinc salts reduce the absorption of tetracyclines, copper (the drug should be used no earlier than 2 hours after taking these drugs). Thiazide diuretics increase the excretion of zinc in the urine. Folic acid may interfere with zinc absorption to a small extent. High doses of iron, penicillamine and other complexing agents significantly reduce the absorption of zinc (should be used no earlier than 2 hours after taking these drugs). In some cases, it is possible to use zinc preparations in combination with vitamin-mineral complexes.

Overdosage

Symptoms of overdose: burning pain in the mouth and throat, watery or bloody diarrhea, belching, vomiting, hypotension, pulmonary edema. May also be observed: hematuria, anuria, collapse, convulsions, hemolysis.
